Please note that electronic waste (E-waste) will NOT be collected at the 2017 Earth Day Celebration.
However, you can recycle most of your E-waste at any time. Beaverhead County Solid Waste is collecting E-waste at the landfill. Anything
that requires or transfers power can be recycled. However,
we lost the buyer for TVs and Monitors, so they have to be buried in the landfill.
For now, take
your cords, cables, power sources, recyclable batteries, etc. to the
E-waste container at the landfill. Scrap metal like washers, dryers, old bicycles, etc. go into
the other container near the E-waste container.
The County is building a transfer station, due
to be completed soon, by the shop. So, in the near future people will no longer have to
drive down into the mucky pit where the loader operates.
